Jersey Day, something new and very special a day when millions of people remember, give thanks, cry, offer praise and reflect ion what may have been and what the future has to offer,
Most of my readers know nothing of what Jersey Day is or why it will affect them.
However my special friends, Leellen,Ernie,Jody,Megan,Wyatt,Margaret & John will already be fighting back those tears of sorrow and swalling the lump in the throat that just wont go awy. They are not alone in Spain another Canadian Tom is experiencing those same emotions.
It is for true friends in times of need that this tribute is written and hopefully it will assist the parents, families ,friends and the community of Humboldt In Saskatchewan Canada and right across the prairies as they come to pass a day of solitude in remeberance of those 16 who died last Friday evening at 5pm when their bus was hit by a semi trailer.
I did not know the Ice Hockey players killed, nor their Coach, the Assistant Coach or the bus driver . The only female on the bus also died Dayna Bron, pictured as the title photo, like the majority killed was a young person of 24 years embarking on an exciting career as a Therapist. Two of those killed were on a work assignment also as radio announcers who had intended to call the game.
Yesterday at Pompeii, I was surrounded by young people also most in the same age range 16-21. they chatted, they played, they argued, they learnt and above all they were experiencing the joys of youth, the delights of travel and the comradship of joining together in bus travel to experience new found experiences.
They will soon be home with parents, brothers and sisters sharing what they saw, what was learnt and sharing memories so special maybe to no one but themselves. They have the potentials to lead, to save others,to marry, to raise a family to experience friendships that endure a lifetime.
As Canadians clutch to Ice Hockey jersey's they do so to remember:
Parker Tobin 18
Logan Schatz 20
Jaxon Joseph 20
Adam Herold 16
Stephen Wack 21
Logan Hunter 18
Connor Lukan 21
Evan Thomas 18
Jacob Leicht 19
Logan Boulet 21
Darcy Haugan Coach
Mark Cross Assistant Coach
Brody Hinz Radio announcer
Tyler Bieber Radio announcer
Glen Doerksen Driver
Dayna Bron Therapist
In death Logan's organs have been donated to six people so that they may live a full life.

Peter Kimber Good Work Mate.
Christopher it's the least we can do to show support. I have heard that $6M has been raised for the families but no amount of money can replace a lost one
Laura Brought me to a stand still and tears...the sobering reality of this tragedy.....We see on TV, "stories", and they wash over you in your busy day, thank you for taking the time to make "this story" real.....
Merrilyn Yes very sad when young lives are lost. Families lives changed forever . Only hope families will see them again in Heaven.Merrilyn
