My map shows a town called Olympia but according to Tom Tom GPS it doesnt exist. I try various combinations even Olimpia,Anx Olympus finally not really knowing if it was sending me where I wanted I just rode off no accommodation booked and after a 70km detour due to a road sign pointing the wrong direction I arrived at Olympia and found a cafe with food and good WiFi.

A Hotel Neda looked ok so I asked the waiter how to get there , he pointed across the street, opps sorry, so I wandered over and yes got a room with pool view waste of money again no water in pool not summer Sir!

I had ridden the main street but refreshed by lunch and out of my riding gear I walked the main street both ways looking at and badgered by street hawkers some of which actually had shirts made in Greece not China. I visited the ancient ruins again a lost cause of economic recesssion and after enjoying a meal at a local cafe I retired for the night after booking the margorona Hotel at Preveza as it was my intention to travel to Igoumenitsa the nominated exit port on my bikes paperwork and catch a ferry to Italy.

I left after a free breakfast but something just niggled away what was it? I rode for some 6hours and followed a moutain route about half way which had soem nice twisties but a lot of rough surfaces that a battered Tom Tom decided was enough and quit. Other parts of the trip were on a Tollway that had partially being finished before 2013. Tolls were small usually around $2 but frequent which is a real pain on a motorcycle stopping gloves off find some coins pay must get receipt to put away then gear back on and off at 130+ on 110 limit. One notable feature is the toll bridge at Patras from a distance it looks like a four masted sailing ship. Motorcycle only pay a $2 toll but cars are $20 and buses , trucks $100 per trip!
