Very early start today at 4.15 to catch a 7am flight to Danang. Only tookabout 75 mins so pretty short flight We caught a cab to our hotel which is in the My Khe beach area across the bridge from the main part of Danang. My Khe is also known as China Beach and was made famous by the US who came here for their R & R during the war. There was a TV series called China Beach about 20 years ago set during the war too. Quiet last day in Hanoi. Did managed to get another massage in - so 4 in a week. A bit indulgent but why not. Had lunch at the Kangaroo cafe and a pretty good burger. But expensive as western food can be but was good not to have rice for a change. Did a bit of shopping but not buying much as we don't want to carry too much yet as we have still got a long way to go. Need to be up early tomorrow for a 7am flight to Danang.

Early start to visit Surprise cave this morning . A very cavernous system of caves that have paved and lit for the hundreds of tourists that go through there each day. Was pretty interesting and spectacular and a great way to finish off our time in Halong Bay. Halong Bay is simply a stunning part of the world. 1969 islands in the bay and just beautiful. The boat we have been on is called Glory Luxury and it has been really nice and comfortable with great food.
