1. day

Packing up all our stuff from the hostel in Bueno Aires and went to the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonial in Uruguay, Colonial is supposed to be a place were all Argentinians go to relax and enjoy the beautiful streets covered with flowers and unique history. After 2 hours sailing in perfect weather we arrived at our destination for 1 day. we arrived at the hostel at 16 due to time defference and some delay from Argentina, left our hostel at 11 am. The hostel was a bit small and the room dark and full of musquitos, hate them, got so many bites! After we dropped our backpacks we walked to a resturant near the water, good restuarant, but the ocean view wasent so good as I expected the water was still brown, looked so dirty. After lunch we walked all way around the city took us 2 - 3 hous and then we had literally seen everything in the city. The city is small and extremly beautifull, small roads full of flowers and the old entrance looked like an old fortress, walls above 2 metres thick and old canons pointed in all directions. When we came back to the hostel we meet some of our old friends and decided to go out for dinner at a place called drugstore, good food and singing entertainment during the dinner. took the chef 1 hour to prepare the food, Paella, Salmon, chicken and patatos.

Montevideo

The great city of pure white buildings, beaches, palmtree avenues and harbours with hugh boats, or at least it was what I imagined, the truth was a city which last saw painting in the middle 80 ths and houses near falling apart and frontrows where every tenth brick was missing. Big dissapointment, though I could work on some tan before going home, think again, we even rebooked our bus, so we leaved a day earlier. 3 nights instead of 4 and 3 was even to many nights.

1. Day

We came to the Loco Cabollo hostel (Crazy horse hostel) nice and clean hostel, located in the city center. Got everything sorted out and went for a walk around the city, only in our area, it was champions league night, so we and to of our friends went to a semi sportsbar, where we saw Manchester city vs, Barcelona good match, when the game was fininshed it was only above 6 pm, but many places started to get dodgy, we decided to go back and and make some dinner our self. At the evening we played pool at the hostel and relaxed.

2. Day

We started late getting up go out and we walk to the old town and the new town, only devided by square and a concrete wall, the oldtown was supposed to be beautifull and cozy, I can deffently say that aint true, yes its old but not maintained, we walked true all the town and back by the promenade, walked all day and came tired back at the evening, went out for dinner nothing in particular, got subways. At the evening I was reading and the partypacker Jonathan went out again.

3. Day

I looked in lonely planet to find some great sights in Montevideo, I was only able to find a market, I went there, the place was an inside market were you could eat some defferent places, all made on grills and the place was dark to get an old atmosphere in the market, was allright, cant tell if the food was good, because it was to hot to eat inside. At the evening we went to find a nice place to eat, there was not any good places to dine, so we ended up in a pizza place, terrible food.
