Ren and M's Excellent Adventure
Sucre turned out to be a favourite both for food (again St&L's influence!) including the reknowned Chicharron, in a chicharoneria - roast pork hhhmmm, and location but not for the police and bag snatchers!
Unfortunately our camera got stolen from inside our bag and we were gutted! (Hooray you are probably all shouting as you have had enough of the milions of pictures!) But we have good and bad news! Happily Sam bought a camera for us in the UK and delivered it to Dave who came along to the Carnival in Rio so all in all we were without a camera for just over a week....we did feel lost....but we have it back now and will be back up to loading thousands of pictures shortly! (Sorry!) The police made us buy our own piece of paper for them to type out the report....and pay for the report!
Sucre had beautiful architecture and a huge black market. We even managed "normal" things and went to the Cinema to see King Kong (brilliant - I blubbed the whole time!) And visited the largest indigenous market (Tarabuco) in South America.
We also visited the most wonderful place were dinosaur tracks have been captured for millions of years and are on a verical ex riverbed (there has been a shift in the plates and this has lead to the bed being moved)
We then headed to Santa Cruz saying goodbye to our travelling compatriotes. In Santa Cruz, which was COMPLETLY direfferent from all previous Bolivian cities, we went to the Zoo which housed all types of big cats, birds, bears, monkeys and was full of sloths who hung out in the trees. We made it for dinner time and were privaleged to see the animals devour many a piece of flesh including one jaguar and a horses head........
On that fine note we left for RRRRRrrrrrio!
