Buenos Aires - Santiago 20/3 (stay in airport) Santiago - Easter Island 21/3 (stay in cheapest backpacker hostel vvv expensive!) Easter Island - Tahaiti 22/3 (stay in airport) Tahiti - Cook Islands 23/3 Cook Isalnds - Auckland 24/3 (lose whole day as we go over the date line - arrgh!) ....and relax with Sean & Ginaberry on the beautiful island of Waiheke! Easter Island itself was completely starnge...all activities directed completely towards tourism but it really is out in the middle of nowhere and in 24 hours we were able to drive and visit 95% of the island...now that IS small! The heads themselves are fascinating and there are many theories of the whys and hows but it is up to you to make your own mind up...my theory is that fairies planted them and they grew.....ahem...maybe not. After a very good nights sleep we headed off onto the next leg of the epic journey!
