Went to the middle of the world today, not to be confused with middle earth, and stood directly on the equator.
It was a bit of an adventure getting back to our B&B as the bus route was different in the way back.
We took public transit there and back, it is incredibly cheap to take a bus here. In the range of .15 to .50, the currency here in Ecuador is US dollars
The cab drive from the airport to our hotel was $26 and took about 45 minutes, I was starting to think that we were going on a dangerous mission because of the off the beaten path journey to get here but I think the cab driver was either somewhat lost or taking a series of shortcuts.
