Caught the sleeper train into Sapa last night, was actually pretty nice. Beds were small so I had to hook my feet underneath a handrail to stretch out. Soph and I shared the cabin with four other Asians and their baby, they couldn't speak English but were super nice. Sapa city is very foggy at this time of the morning, around 7.30, hopefully it clears by the time the bus drops us off in the mountains. We were driven to Sapa town and had a rubbish breakfast, then went and found another place they were serving some hot food thankfully. Our group had some annoying Asians that didn't eat breakfast so we had to wait for them. Soph and I walked the tough way with some Hmong ladies, very foggy but nice just the same. Had some lunch in a village, then kept walking to the homestay. Accom was fine, lots of us sleeping on mats upstairs (Asians were annoying and loud). Dinner was nice though, lots to choose from. Sat around the fire and talked to some Americans and Australians. Nice people.
