After the excitement of the Gnome village it was off to Busselton, home of the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere, and its on the map and there are sign posts to it so we won't be missing this little gem!!!! We get down there and it does seem pretty long, 2km out to sea it is. Its also $2.50 to walk out it, no thanks we can walk for free (plus, heres a tip, its free in the mornings…. we went the next day). After we went here we took a look around the town. This place was going to end up being our hate town for this trip. We have had hate towns before, it basically happens because we are too tired or cranky or hungry and nothing seems to be of any interest to us.
We went down towards the beach and had a nice long swim. The water here was the main highlight of the place. Its on the ocean but the water was as calm as a swimming pool and just as clear. We swam up and down the beach for ages, not that we needed tiring out but it was nice and refreshing aswell as being great cleaning!!!
We decided we would go to the cinema, to normalise things a bit for ourselves. Unfortuntely this would end up bringing its own curses the next morning when we found a voucher for the cinema that would have saved us $12 dollars. We went to see Hall Pass, it was ok, funny in bits but this isn't a movie review now is it. We managed to charge our phone here too while we watched the movie, highlight number two!!!
The next morning, after an absolutely rubbish night sleep thanks to some police cars lights flashing in the window for hours during the night and the sprinklers we parked beside in the dark spinning round to hit the side of the van every 2 minutes in the early hours of Saturday morning… not happy campers! Anyway, we got up and drove off down the town, took our free walk out the jetty and headed off along the coast
