The drive to Kuranda took us all the way from Cape Trib down almost to Cairns before heading off inland over the mountains. On the way down we stopped off in Mossman Gorge for a look. Another part of the epic world heritage area and a National park of its own right. We walked along the boardwalk but could sense that there was rain on the way. Not much to say about Port Douglas, it was nice and sunny and tropical. The hostel was ok too, friendly but noisey We took a walk down to the beach for a swim, only to find out there were crocs in the area, stingers (jelly fish that kill ya) and it was 30 degrees celsius. They have a stinger net up to swim inside safely, but it was so warm it was sickly I thought to swim in it, it was only 32 outside the water so it wasnt cooling at all. It was still beautifully...

Got the new car, a Hyundai Getz early in the morning and off we headed North towards the Wet Tropics of Queenslands far North. On the way up we stopped off at a place called Hartleys Crocodile Adventures for a Squizz (Aussie word for Gawk).
