Well this day albeit only a few hours old already has been a very long one. It started yesterday at about three in Ayutthaya. We managed to grab a tuk tuk, with some old lady, and headed to the train station. The mandotory tourist charge was applied to the fare and we jumped off into the station. We thought the train was going to be at four, but the information people told us the next train was at half three, it was about twenty five past at this stage so she sai...

After we got off the internet last night we headed back towards the hostel. It was only about six o'clock but it was starting to get dark. We had dinner, burgers and chips.... well needed, and walked back through the temples that were light up in their night time orange. It made the place no more and no less creepy, although it didnt really make either of us feel any more rushed to get back. They looked nice at night all light up, and you couldnt see all the rubb...

Off we headed this morning for Ayutthaya. We left good and early on the twenty past eight 1st class bus, costing us the princely sum of 350 baht each, round about 17Euro altogether. The bus was much swankier, you can tell by the tassled curtains hanging above the windows. Also the TV up the front playing the latest Thai music hits (more on that in a second). Woke up early this morning, very cold night on the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I am convinced it was not a mattress but blocks.... it is lent after all!!! Those of you who were aware of our planned route might find it a suprise to discover that this entry is from Sukhothai and not Koh Samui.
