After a really great time in Western Australia it was time to make my way to Sydney for Christmas, New Year and job hunting!! It was a shame to leave Billabongs hostel (which had been my base in Perth since I'd arrived in Oz) as it was really fun and met lots of great people there. I was excited about heading to Sydney though and was looking forward to getting in to a flat share and a break from hostel living for a while!!

I decided to get the Indian Pacific Train to Sydney as though it would be a good experience (and flight prices were ridiculous because of xmas, nye and the ashes!!) A few guys from the hostel decided to do the same so we all set off on the 3 days train journey!

The train made a couple of stops on route...namely the lovely mining town of Kalgoorlie, Cook (a creepy town in the middle of nowhere with a population of 7) and Adelaide.

It was a good experience, met some fun people on the trip and saw some amazing sunsets etc but 3 nights sleeping on a chair took its toll and I was very happy to finally arrive in Sydney!
