This morning we travelled oh so slowly down to Halifax. We could've been there at 6am!!! We were still early when we arrived, so we sailed right up the river to a bridge, came to a complete stop and then turned around on our own axis. We had military helicopters buzzing the ship, and lots and lots of pleasure craft came to meet us. It was a great welcome. Tom and I had an early lunch and were off the ship ASAP. What a lovely day at sea. After breakfast Tom went off to a talk on the St Lawrence Seaway. I went up to the library to send emails to the girls and print off a photo they sent, for our room. I later joined Tom for the talk on the great cruise liners which was followed by a talk on shopping in Sydney (not our Sydney), Halifax and Bar Harbour. Well, what can I say?? We rose at 5.30am because we needed to be fed and showered and ready to go on our tour at 7.30am. When we went to breakfast we saw that the seas were very rough and we were nowhere near land!! Tom and I st by the window down on Level 2 and were amazed at the wild waves. The commodore announced that we were sailing in hurricane conditions and that we could not go ashore at Sydney today, nor at Corner Brook tomorrow as the conditions would...

At last - a whole day at sea!!! This morning we slept in until after 8am!!! Wow!!! After brekky we went to the Art Auction where we had champagne but then decided not to participate - we have too many at home waiting to be framed!
