Typical day at sea - woke up early, checked the girls emails in the computer centre. Had a beautiful breakfast (fresh fruit plate followed by smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel, with tomato juice!

After brekky we had a look at the shops, then Tom attended a couple of lectures on shipping history in the theatre. I continued perusing the shops, then emailed the girls and met Tom in the pub at noon for the trivia quiz. That was fun - then lunch (crabmeat entree, panfried trout for mains, peach sorbet).

After lunch we went down to the Art Auction and had a glass of champagne whilst perusing the art works, then we attended the talk on Norway in the Grand Lounge.

Then back to our room for showers and to prepare for our first formal dinner and meeting the Captain for cocktails and nibblies beforehand.

And dinner tonight??? Smoked salmon, lobster and caviar, grand marnier souffle, cheese platter and then a lovely concert - 3 Russian girls - violin, piano, cello - wonderful!!!!
