3rd day now in Siam Reap. I didnt do much in Sihanoukville cause I was sick but Im fine now.
For the past 2 days Ive been exploring the ancient temples of Anghor - amazing place. Its like a lost world - over a million people lived here about 10000 years ago. The place and buildings are massive.
I saw Anghor Wat today, which is the biggest religious structure in the world! I got there at 5am for sunrise. The streets in Siam Reap were flooded - these floods keep following me! Hundreds of people turned up hoping for the sunrise which didnt happen. Most people stayed out the front waiting for it to happen but I could tell when I got there that the skys were too grey. So I went exploring the thing, going around back first were hardly any tourists had got to yet. It payed off bigtime as I got to see a group of monkeys coming to the temple for 5 and leaving again - it was crazy , hundreds of people at Anghor Wat and I was the only only who saw the monkeys, and I have video to prove it - just me and the monkeys lol!
After they hung about for a while they ran back into the jungle and I could see them for ages on the tops of the trees. Cool as feck!
Another favorite I saw to was Ta Prohm, I think is called. Its were they made the movie Tomb Raider - feckin amazing place.
Tomorrow is my last day here and Ive got loads more to do - hopefully the weather will improve.
