Back in Burkina after the last splendid days in Mali. The afternoon in Segou got to experience Niger river on a pinasse, the name that gave inspiration to plenty of almost funny jokes. Right after getting back ashore got caught in a thunderstorm and was time to dig out the rainproofs which hadn*t been used yet.

The morning started early with a drive towards Sikasso, was the first time for everyone to visit the city and probably won*t be introduced to the itinerary. Major highlights were finished in about an hour and were not that major to begin with. After saying farewells to Malick, our brilliant Mali guide, we made our way for Famako waterfalls for a bushcamp. Was a beautiful evening of stargazing and our last night in Mali.

The next morning started the relatively short drive towards Bobo Dioulasso and border formalities were rather smooth. Had a pleasant surprise in Bobo, single rooms with our own showers. Nothing better after a bushcamp. Sampled the local nightlife which was fairly active considering it was monday. Crazy moves on the floor and a lot of people trying to hassle this and that. Will probably stay off the beer tonight..
