Well the cover image wasn't Bogota but Medellin- there is a famous Artist here called Botero who makes statues and paintings all of extremely fat people! There were several of these statues around in the central plaza of medellin which were all very funny! So now we are in bogota, capital of Colombia and must say are finding it the least enchanting place we've stayed yet! I think I've just made an illicit pact with a brownie woman selling brownies in our hostel...

Hey folks, arrived at bogota airport still with the stretch to Cartagena to go but with lots of sprite and coffee hopefully will make it ok. Already been sniggered at by airline staff for lack of Spanish and wondered around like lost puppets but have checked into connecting flight and waiting it out now. Much love
