Today I am on Kho Samui island. After getting up at 8.00am and getting some breakfast I went to hire a motorbike for the day. The motorbike cost 200 baht for the day and as I had never driven a motorbike before me and Shiraz (who i met on the train from Bangkok) practised somewhere quiet for 10 mins. After getting the hang of it we planned our route around the island. As we started early the roads were quiet and we stopped off at the main beaches and sites. We also explored further in parts of the island that were not in the guide. Koh Samui is a beautiful island and traveling round it on a motorbike is the best and cheapest way to explore it. I started off quiet nervous, but after a few hours i was overtaking and everything!! It got really busy around 5pm and i had some near misses but I was always driving carefully!!

After exploring the island, we went for some mexican food at a really nice restaurant called mexican cantina- the food was soooo tasty.

I am currently waiting for a taxi that takes you to the speed boat that takes you to Koh panang, for the full moon party. I will update the blog once i have been to the full moon party.
