Happy Easter folks. I tucked into a delicious meal (steak - we decided to splash out since it was a holy day!) on the beach at Elliot Heads (just outside bundaberg) watching the kite surfers. V. exotic! Spent a couple of dasy there doing nothing all that strenuous before we moved on to hervey bay - the gateway to fraser island. Managed to hire a 4x4 for the following two days. Bonsoir folks, Happy Easter! Update since i last wrote....We decided last min to go to a place call Bowen (chiefly because that was the name of our favourite cafe in sydney!). Turned out to be a v. nice little town surrounded by epic beaches - found an amazing campsite just on the edge of the ocean. Flew to Cairns from Melbourne - stayed there for one night (v. odd place). Picked up the car bright and early the followig morn and set off for Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation (about 3 hours north of cairns).
