Well hello folks, I'm afraid i'm getting a tad lax at the whole blog malarky. Well....North Island was all groovy. Arrived on the South Island on the 10th of May.... First stop Blenheim for a spot of wine tasting on Bikes - highly amusing day. Especially putting up the tent that night - it was somewhat wonky to say the least! Bonjour from a bloody freezing New Zealand. Going to have to do this at speed otherwise frostbite will set in! Arrived in Auckland and managed to sort out renting a car despite the fact we didn't have credit cards of driving licenses! Headed north to the BAy of Islands - v beautiful place. Didn't some not so strenuous walks as we didn't want to rush into anything....needed an ajustment period. Stayed up there in a place called Waitangi for a couple of days bef...

Bonsoir everyone. Just a v. brief message to say that i am aware that i have been rather slack on the blog of late - will do my best to rectify the situation in New Zealand (off tomorrow morning). Alas - rather dramatic times since i last wrote. We were busy climbing Mount Warning (a 3 hour vertical trekk) and our car was broken into - the thieving berks took pretty much eveything of value, including all the ruddy cameras so no pictures for a while i'm afraid. ...

Happy Easter folks. I tucked into a delicious meal (steak - we decided to splash out since it was a holy day!) on the beach at Elliot Heads (just outside bundaberg) watching the kite surfers.
