Indra and I set off again on the 25thJan for London and a weekend with MJ and Dan before flying to Singapore for a two day stay. It was really good to be in shorts again and with the temp in mid 30’s and high humidity took some getting used to. Singapore seemed so much better this time round and we spent a lovely couple of days in The Botanical/Orchid garden and the Gardens on the Bay. Moving on to Melbourne we had an excellent apartment in the CBD area which was handily placed. In addition to local sites we did two full day tours to visit the Twelve Apostles and The Penguin Parade off Philip Island. Regrettably our flight to Prosperine for the Reef and Whitsundays could not land and after two efforts the pilot flew back to Melbourne via Brisbane. We did make it two days later and to be fair to Jetstar they covered our additional costs. Even hotter in Airlie Beach but we managed to snorkel on the reef and visit the iconic Whitehaven beach. Spent the last few days in Sydney revisiting old haunts and yesterday had a long boozy lunch at Doyles , Watson’s Bay as pre 70th birthday present from Indra. Manley , Bondi , Elizabeth Bay all looking as good as ever and we are really enjoying our stay at the Macleay. Moveing on to NZ on Monday
