Having spent one night in Brisbane we made our way back to Surfers, where we booked ourselves in to a much needed hostel for a treat! We managed to hook up with Harry and Sam again, so we had a very messy night. We managed to book ourselves on a couple of day trips from Airlie Beach. On 26th we were up bright and early for a day trip around the Whitsunday Islands. Since I last wrote we've been fairly busy! We spent a couple of nights in Hervey Bay, before heading off to Fraser Island, which was amazing. We hired a 4x4 to get around the Island, which was great fun, as it meant we could drive on the beaches. The weather wasn't all that great, but we survived torrential rain and hurricane like winds and it cleared up pretty much every time we stopped somewhere, which meant we could go for a swim in some pretty amazing lakes. ...

Nimbin was once a hippy town which was sort of a law unto its self and did as the locals pleased. However, when we went it did seem that the locals were basically victims of their own self doing and had ruined their town and lives with the local export (cannabis) It is still a fascinating place to visit and very interesting to see, as its almost like a theme-park full of drug addicts.
