So our last few days were spent bumming around on beaches and just generally seeing the sights of Sydney - mainly through very heavy beer goggles!! We then headed off to the blue mountains which was really pretty with lots of look out points over the valleys. We only spent the one night there in a very small and slightly creepy campsite before heading to Newcastle, where we spent 2 nights. Newcastle is an old industrial town which is supposedly up and coming. We weren't all that impressed with the town itself however, our campsite was right on the beach, so we spent most of our time topping up the tans and avoiding being buried in the sand by the boys, who also found great fun in finding dead puffer fish and poking them with sticks (its quite scary how boys really never grow up!!)

After Newcastle we had a 10 hour drive in total to Byron bay which was well worth the trek!! Our campsite is right in the centre of the town and right on the beach!!! The town is pretty cool with a chilled our hippy vibe!! So far our days have been spent in the little cafes and catching the rays before having a few bevies in the bars! I'm hoping this birthday will be one not to forget!! We should be heading out for a night we plan not to remember and meeting up with some of the guys from Sydney, Good times!!!
