We were up and excited about our planned day of tubing nice and early. We got our tubes and we're dead chuffed with the weather, so hit the river. The whole day was spent tubing down the river and stopping off at the bars along the way. The river current was pretty strong, so the bars would throw out ropes or rings for us to grab hold of so they could pull us in. We left Phonsavan in the early hours and drove the 6 hour journey to a very wet Vang vien. We went out for a meal and a couple of drinks but found ourselves having a much needed early night. The following day we got up and decided to hire bikes and go for a short cycle to some nearby caves which had lagoons to swim in. We were picked up from Chang Mai just after midday, from there we drove to the border. Being the last 3 to be picked up I found myself squashed between a sick Dan and everyone else's rucksacks. We'd been driving for about 2 hours when we had a toilet stop, fed up with a sick boy slouching on me and a tone of bags, I managed to sweet talk to driver into sitting up front with him.
