We got into Brisbane airport at 5.15am Australian time. It was strange as the time differences kept changing for us! We had an hour until we flew but by the time we were off the first flight and walked to the gate they were boarding. I felt pretty awake by the time we got on the next plane and couldn't sleep at all. We were so excited to get to New Zealand! We didn't get a meal on this flight which was rubbish as we were starving! It was only a 2 and a half hour ...

We went to check out at 12pm today but they let us keep the key to our room and leave our bags in there as they didn't have anybody else checking in. We headed out to the restaurant that we went to last night as we had left our brolly there. A member of staff had stolen the brolly and taken it home with them so we had to go back for it later once they had brought it back. We had a nice last lunch and then went to an internet cafe to upload and sort our pictures....

We got up at half 1 this morning! We managed to get some sleep so that was good! I never thought we would be getting up at 1.30am to do a sunrise trek up a volcanic mountain that's for sure! After breakfast we chilled out on our balcony for the morning and then headed out for lunch for a cake and a coffee. We spent the rest of the day at Ubud Monkey Forest which was fun. There were walks around the forest and the monkeys were wild and running everywhere. If you had food they would sit on your shoulder but we decided against that as they didn't seem like the friendliest and we had heard of people getting bit! The storm got worse through the night. It kept waking us up and it was pretty scary- it was the worst storm I have ever heard! At one point the storm was literally above our room and the loud bang and rumble of the thunder woke us up with a shock and shook the room!
