Arriving late and on the comfiest bus ride ever, we finally got to our hostel in chinatown in Kuala Lumpar. All we did that night is get food and head to sleep.
We absolutely fell in love with the breakfast served on the rooftop of our hostel and went there every day, wish I could have it now. We explored the city and the many malls all day long, heading to the Patronas Towers to see it both in the daytime and nightime. Then made our way back after food. Thats were we made friends with Dan, such a funny guy.
On the friday we headed to the Batu Caves and walked the 172 steps to the top, watching all the cheeky monkeys on the way up. Megan nearly got attacked by one whilst attempting a selfie with one sat on the side, the actual photo of it nearly jumping onto her is hilarious. Then we did our favourite passtime, shopping! And then dragged Dan and the other guy at our hostel out for a beer, which was lucky as it was ladies night and drinking in Malaysia is expensive.
An early start the next day as we were heading to Singapore, which only took 5 hours and so we got extra time there yayy. We headed to Marina Bay were we watched the fountain and light show, Megan getting told off for holding her Ipad up and blocking peoples view. Then walked across the bridge for views of the amazing skyline there, need to get my pictures printed as I absolutely loved that view!
After a good lie in, we headed to Orchard Road to see what it was like before heading to the Night Safari which was pretty cool. The lions roaring at night and just generally being around animals in the night time was such an experience.
Singapore only got better as we headed to Sentosa Island, walking along the promanade filled with tropical plants in the glorious sunshine. We walked around the whole place, heading for the man made island and the rikity bridge and lay on the fake grass just soaking in the beauty of the southernmost point of continential asia. Soon after we headed to chinatown for food and a Tigar beer breaking up our souvineer shopping and drowning our sorrows at the fact Megan was leaving us tomorrow.
It was strange it being just the two of us now, we hadn't been on our own yet. We did another full day in the city, discovering the most beautiful cathedral and Ruffles and the fountain of wealth and had our own last meal before heading back to KL for a few days before our flight.
Arriving in the middle of the night, we sat in the internet cafe for hours and not shockingly, McDonald's, just to kill time. We stayed in the same place and much to our surprise, Dan was there too, so we adopted him as our third muskateer. We tried not to stay in the hostel as we hated the dorm room, so the three of us headed to the cinema to watch Into The Woods and had an early night.
The following day it was so sunny and in a city there was hardly anywhere to go so we headed to the Lake Gardens, funnily enough bumping into Dan there aha. We ended the night on the rooftop bar but only stayed for one as the prices in KL for beer is stupid.
Dan left us that day, and so we again adopted a third, Kristal a girl from our dorm. We unsuccessfully searched for the old Malay town, went to a boring Mosque dressing up as some sort of cult, and got flashed by a tramp. All in all, an unsuccessful day.
The last morning in KL, we had breakfast on the roof and killed time shopping before heading to the airport for the Philippines, another adventure begins.
