It feels very strange to say I am writing this from Australia, with Mikaela sat next to me!

After a very stressful 3 weeks, which included changing travelling dates and companions and trying to get everything ready from booking flights to attempting to fit 2 months worth of clothes and toiletries into my rucksack, I finally got on the flight.

The first leg of the journey was quite comfortable - I had 4 seats to myself - but was then ruined by a family with 3 of the most irritating boys I had ever met. Including my brothers.

Although I am very excited I'm here now, going through security three times in Dubai and having screaming kids for another 13 hours really made me question my decision to fly half way across the world.

Now I am sat outside, with not a cloud in the sky, about to have chicken and chips for lunch and I'm thinking this whole travelling this was a great idea.

Bring on the next 2 months.
