Finally after 14 hours, three buses, three boats and totally hungover we arrive at Phi Phi. On our first day we just looked round the island and lay on the beach. It was the day after we took a cheap boat trip round the surrounding islands. Our first stop was snorkelling at shark bay. The water was crystal clear with numerous species of fish. I was not so confident as Anthony in the water as the waves were pretty big but with the help of a life jacket felt much better. We stayed here for round 40 minutes, then off to another island were we kayaked from the main boat to the shore and back. Maya bay was our next stop. Anthony dived straight in the water and swam to the rocks where he climbed the rope onto the island. This looked quite dangerous so everyone else got a small boat then clambered on the island with the help of the tour guides. Once on the beach it was filled with tourist although this did not take away it's beauty. It's like no other beach we have seen, utterly amazing. From here was monkey island and it certainly lived up to it's name. The beach was covered with monkeys, but not so tame ones. Both me and Anthony got attacked by them as they just expect food from the visiting tourists. They were crazy swimming up to the boats robbing food, definitely a sight to see but kept me on edge most of the time. This was one of the best days of our journey.
