We both slept much better last night in the new guesthouse but were happy with the thought of moving on to another area of Malaysia.
The Cameron Highlands are about 200 km from Penang, a 4.5 hour bus journey. The peak of the highlands at over 5000 feet is the highest point on the Malaysian mainland and has a really cool climate where temperature range from 12 degree to 25 degrees all year round. While there we will have the opportunity to go on treks through the local highlands and without the need of a guide! Which should be good.
Anyway the journey in the minibus went well, although we've found out the Malaysian woman do not shut up. For the full four and a half hours these three women just talked and talked and talked.
The guesthouse seem pretty cool, we thought we'd be staying in dormitories but we've managed to get a double room for pretty much the same price.
We wandered around the town in the afternoon and started to plan our trek for the morning. We had a chat with the couple of Polish girls we'd spoken to on the way from Thailand to Malaysia, they'd visited the Tea farms today and said it was fun so that's now on our hit list also.
