Somehow we'd managed to get the time differences totally wrong and as we sat for breakfast discovered we were already five minutes late for the tour. Thankfully LA must be influenced by "Fiji time" (the Fijian excuse for everything being late) and we managed to board the bus a few minutes before it left the hostel.

The four hour tour took us round the "stars" houses (typically sceptical Tom doubted any actually lived there), the shopping district Rodeo Drive, and the Hollywood walk of fame complete with the Kodak theatre, where the Oscars are held.

Having been below 20 degrees for far too long now we decided it was time to buy a couple coats. This was actually more difficult than we thought it would be, probably as the 15 degrees it was today is as cold as it gets here! Anyway, as the normal high-street stores didn't sell coats we had to got to a ski/snowboard store. We managed to pick up coats for the two of us and some Salopettes for Rachael, not overly cheap but still a good deal. Vegas tomorrow!!!!
