We got woken up at 6am by Julie banging on a saucepan and shouting for us to all get up. I went for a shower and then had some breakfast. We put the tents down and loaded everything away on the roof of the 4x4 vehicle. Then we tied down the green covering. We left the camping ground at 7.30am and Sabrina was driving. We are heading to Lake McKenzie this morning. We drove down the rough roads again with loads of dips. It was proper off roading and very bumpy in the 4x4 vehicle. We kept going the wrong way so it took ages to get there especially with the rough roads as well. We finally arrived at Lake McKenzie. It was so beautiful with the clear blue water and white sand. We stayed here for a few hours soaking up the sun. Then we went to a picnic area and had lunch. We cooked all the rest of the food we had left. At 12 noon we left to drive back to the barge. Rich was driving. We drove along the beach past Hook point and arrived at the barge for 2.30pm. On the way we had a bit of drama and our roll mats flew off the roof of the 4x4 vehicle. We had to run back and get them. We drove onto the barge and then headed back to the hostel. We took all our bags off the roof and then all went minus Craig to fill up the 4x4 vehicle with petrol at the local petrol station. One person had to stay behind at the hostel and we decided that it would be Craig. We took the 4x4 vehicle back to the 4x4 Safari place and they checked that the 4x4 vehicle was in the same condition as before and that we hadn't damaged or lost any camping gear. Everything was fine so we all got a lift back to the hostel. We checked back in at Frasers on Rainbow Beach where we are staying for 1 night. We got our luggage out of storage. By the time we got settled it was around 4pm. We used the internet and then I went down to the beach for a walk. Gina was feeling tired so she went to have a nap. In the evening we chilled out at the hostel bar with Gus, Josefine, Cecila, Julie, Sabrina, Craig, Mike, Rich, Spencer, Olag and Jane from the Fraser Island trip and then went to bed.
