Today we got up ready to check out of the hostel at 10am. Josefine and Cecila were sitting outside so we joined them while we had some breakfast. They were going to the beach so we said goodbye to them. We might see them again along the East Coast. We waited around the hostel until it was time to walk to the transit centre for our Greyhound bus. The bus arrived at midday and we are heading to Byron Bay today. The journey took around 3 hours. We arrived at the bus shelter next to the Tourist Information Centre in Byron Bay around 3pm. Usually there is a free shuttle from the hostel that comes and picks people up off the Greyhound bus but the hostel bus where we are staying has a mechanical fault so its not running at the moment. We got a map from the Tourist Information Centre and walked to the hostel - Nomads Art Factory where we are staying for 4 nights. The hostel was only supposed to be a five minute walk but we walked for ages. It was so hot as well especially with carrying all our bags. When we checked into the hostel we were told that there was a road at the side of the Tourist Information Centre that is a short cut to the hostel. So we had walked the longway round. We were not happy. We got settled in our dorm room and then went to chill out by the pool. We needed to cool down as it was so hot. In the evening we chilled out around the hostel.
