Well I have left myself with quite a large task of trying to remember Sydney down to Melborne. In short we had a really good time in Sydney where we climbed the Sydney harbour bridge which was the highlight. We did a discovery climb which was really good as we got to see the inside of the bridge a lot more and was more challenging, so we were told. We also went to the fish market while in sydney and ate very fresh sushi and other sefood types. We decided to hire a camper van down to melborne so we could do our own thing and id have to say it was prob one of our best decisions. We drove to the blue mountains first and it was pretty darn cold. We got there alright surprisingly after driving through Sydneys rush hour. We went to see the three sisters and did this small jungle walk down in the forest also which was pretty good and got a cable car back up the mountain.
We made our way down to Camberra to see the Capital and to see Pats Uncle who resides there. He was extremely hospitalable like his son (Nick Robinson) and allowed us to stay in his beautiful nice, spacious, warm house while feeding us and taking us round Camberra. Again we had majorly landed on our feet and ive never appreciated a shower as much as i appreciated thiers and for that i thank John and Rosemary for their hospiltality and home comforts. John also having done it himself planned a good root for to head down to melborne taking in many stops and sights. We headed down south into Victoria and stopped off at some really nice little towns with us going to one very famous beechworth bakery (cracking caramel slice = 1kg of fat im guessing) We decided to make each other meals with our one gas stove thing and i must say my 1st ever attempt at an omelet turned out good and the boys were happy while they both did curries and they were....edible. I lie they were good considering no light and one source of heat. Today we just finished the great ocean road which was a pleasure to drive on and got some good pics of. We are now in Melborne with an action packed day ahead of us tomorrow that involves giving back the van, very sad. If you travel to OZ you must get a camper van as they are awesome, such a good way to travel. Also forgot to mention I drove into Melborne and it was nuts a 6 lane highway and everyone was going crazy changing lanes etc was prettttty hairraising but we have not crashed yet (touch wood)
Talk to you in New Zealand next i guess.
Ciao
