I know ive only been here for about 4 hours, but I think ive made an awesome choice in venue with Krakow...
Onto that soon.
First, my closing comments on Scotland.
Two weeks was probably 4 days too many, it really seems to be a fitness fanatics country to me. All the tourists, well most of them, were bike riding their way from city to city. Then hiking up crazy cliffs on Skye, then i dont know, swimming with seals or something.
Me and Chuck ended up clocking 1500 miles together (2400 kms). And as a special farewell, I took Chuck on the petrol challenge back to the airport as I prepaid for a tank when I picked her up.
Needless to say I was s***ting bricks (sorry for the french Dad) as the gauge light came on with 40 miles to go, but I had confidence in Chuck and she got me there.
My city recap...
Edinburgh - Good to see, bad to stay.
Perth - Next
Inverness - Next
St Andrews - Posh and touristy
Aberdeen - Tough exterior, but I liked it the most.
The countryside is the big tick, spend all your time in B & B's outside the cities and you will love it.
Price guide...
Avg pint = 2.80 pound ($4 AU roughly) now if I went to the Mean Fiddler and asked for a pint of Kilkenny they would ask for $8 i reckon, so its cheap to drink.
Petrol is stupid expensive - 1.40 pound a litre.
Food is cheap - 7-8 pounds for a main meal ($12-$15 AU).
No one wears caps.
And the women are tough.
Now some opening thoughts on Krakow, hello ladies is my first thought.
Sorry Jess, but at least im being honest, the women here are very good looking.
Im staying right next to the Jewish District in a place called the Secret Garden Hostel, and I think I got the girls room if you look at my cover shot hahaha!
Will post a thorough update on Krakow in a few days time, but I think im going to have a lot of fun... with touristy things, not the women jess :)
