Sunday : overcast - rain
Big breakfast today I think I over did it, I needed to have a lay down ha! We Maybe had too long a lay down because just as we put our shoes on to venture out, it started to bucket down. So I thought it would be a good time to pay some bills downstairs while we waited for the weather to fine up.
Tropical weather A, the storm has moved on so we went for stroll. I like Dalat's streets they are hilly, narrow little lanes that wind past shops and homes. You can duck between buildings and take the stairs up or down to different streets. It sure is a mountain village.
We walked through the big markets again it was a bit easier today with no push bikes to drag through. We stopped in a park under Dalat's version of the Eiffel tower, so romantic Then took off back up the hill through coffee/bar alley. We spoke to a local bloke along the way and he suggested a cafe. Don't know if we found the one but we grabbed a couple Viet style coffees and cake at a bakery (it was more of cakery, no pies here) got in just before it hammered again. We got to watch all the scooter riders wip on there ponchos from our window seats.
On the way back we past a massage place and for four bucks for an hour how could you walk past.
We got back to the hotel around 3pm just before Yep more rain so I spent some time on the net before dinner. We walked up to a place called chocolate, It was so funny!! Kim noticed that everones meals were being made by other restaurants and being delivered classic, basically they just sell drinks. Some more soup and wine tonight, but ended with some Viet tea and local ice-cream.
Random thing was the chap from Hong Kong we met yesterday at crazy house walked by and yeah had a nice long chat about our plans for china he may put us up at his place if he is in town, We also may be riding with him for a couple days tomorrow, if not we'll catch up with him in Dalat.
Walking back to the hotel we past the easy riders tour office, we will be going with them tomorrow and they invited Kim and I in for free beer and a chat about our trip. Seems like you can't walk any where with out people wanting to talk to you here, everyone treats you like a guest.
Can't wait to hit the road tomorrow we are all packed a ready to rock n roll
Yeeer haaaaaaaaaa!!
