Friday : sunny
Well we left HCMC today. We checked out after breakfast, and started our walk to to bus stop IN THE WRONG BLOODY DIRECTION !!!!!!!! What a douche I was. We turned around after realizing something was up, and made the bus with 5min to spare.
The seats we pretty good but not enough leg room at all. The bloke in front of me had his seat reclined so far back I could rest my head on the back of his chair.
Alone the way we crossed quite a few big rivers, saw big industrial estates. There were trucks galore out of the city, and plenty for sale in big yards. I noticed that about Saigon, different areas sold different things.
We also saw a big amusement park that looked like some fun. Only if we had known about it before we would of checked it out for sure.
We crawled through a small wood working village, crawled because the roads we so bad, and there was so much traffic. Everyone there was making hand calved dinning suites. They really look great, could probably get one much cheaper there than at that disabled place we went to the other day.
It didn't take long for the buildings to thin out and to start seeing some of Vietnams countryside. It looked amazing approaching the mountains and the climb up them was just as impressive. We saw raging rapids and waterfalls amongst steep jungle covered hills
The only thing bad about the trip was the god damn bus driver constantly honking his Air horn you couldn't get any sleep for the whole 8hrs.
Never mind we arrived at Dalat's bus station and jump in a cab which took us to the dream hotel which was suggested by our book, but unfortunately it was Booked out, b*****, but the owner said that her brothers hotel Thein An down the road has one room left. Done for $22 with breakfast and it is very good here apart from no lift and walking to the forth floor, but we need the exercise anyways. The room is new and very nice and airy with it's big open window. The view from our bed through the window is what that makes it! It is some sort of temple gardens with a big white stone budda at the top of the hill. Must go for a walk through there.
After a short rest we ventured out in search of a restaurant, we came across a nice quite one. It was the dearest one we have eaten at so far but still under $14 with a bottle of wine that was made right here in Dalat. Dalat apparently is the wine region of Vietnam due to the weather here. It is much cooler than HCMC It feels like a cool spring day back home.
The hotel has free pushes to ride so I think thats a plan for tomorrow after a good sleep.
