I was only going to stay in Nong Khai 1 night, but the place is wicked so I stayed another!

Its just so chilled out and relaxing! Yesterday I hired a bicycle and went out exploring! I visited the local sculpture park, very interesting, lots of different stone sculptures that are meant to represent different parts of our lives. I was going to go to the big posh hotel down the road and use there swimming pool, but ended up coming back to my room for an afternoon snooze, and just lost the time!

Last night they showed a film in the amazing river bar, called 'the golden compass' havnt a clue what it was happening. Something about dust?

Finally made some friends too, Anna and Sofie - 2 danish girls, they have been going for about a month now and not long arrived in from travelling around India. They actually left for Laos yesterday, but we swapped email addresses, and said we may meet up again later in the trip. They are travelling a lot slower than I am though. They did say they were planning on going to the full moon party on 20th May, so hopefully will at least see them there!

Off to Laos myself today, to a place called Vientiane. Scary stuff as this is where the real trekking and rough stuff comes in.
