After an 18 hour journey, by super duper best ever including working aircon blankets and a toilet on board - bus, a ferry, a taxi and a longtail taxi boat, I arrived in paradise. This is what I had been waiting for.
You can only access this beach by boat, and was supprised, but also glad that no-one else was heading this way. This is a place called 'Hat Khuat' aka 'Bottle Beach'. I have no idea why it was called bottle beach, as the only bottles I found had beer in them.
I stayed in 'Bottle Beach 1' hotel, there were four here, Bottle beach 1,2,3 and Smile Beach resort. After looking around, I think i'd chosen the best.
I got to thinking about what I was doing coming home, when I could stay and do this forever. I even texted sarah, explaining my dilema, and that the only reason to come home was because of her, and that she should come out here and do it with me. I dont think she was too impressed with me at this point.
My first full day involved the following: Get up about 9am - go for breakfast, 10.30am - lie on beach and swim occasionally to cool off, 12.30pm - lunch, 1.30pm lie on the beach and swim occasionally to cool off, around 3.30pm decided to check emails and maybe update this journal.
I received an email from my mum, explaining my grandad had passed away on the friday. All of the sudden it became a bad day in paradise. I just kept thinking I had to leave and come home or something, but for some reason the mobile network I was using had chucked me off, the last boat back to somewhere I could start to make my way home from had left, and the landline phones wernt connecting. It just went from bad to worse. I think that that night was the hardest night ive ever had to get through in my life. I had no-one I could even talk to. I ended up going to my room, watching a flim to try and take my mind off things, and getting very drunk.
The next day, I needed to leave to go to Koh Samui, and was going to try and move my flight so I could come home and be with someone.
