Another jammed packed day in Rome. A guided your of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum- our guide Francesca told us lots of interesting facts about both sites. Then lunch and a visit to the Pantheon- which is now used as a church. What a building! Oh, we also managed to include some shopping! Unfortunately when we got to the Trevi Fountain, it was closed for restoration, but we still got to throw a coin in a made up smaller version. We told everyone it meant we would need to return again to do it right next time. Tomorrow, another big day, comprising mostly of a your of The Vatican, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums, then naturally The Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and I'm sure, more shopping! No wonder my ankles are as huge as baseballs! But it's been worth it- you have amazing, appreciative and respectful children- it's been a pleasure.
