Well, finally made it and quickly realised what a shambles my 'organisation' has turned out to be. Flight was ok, despite the screaming toddler sat in the adjacent row for both legs of the journey! AND I managed to watch Sex and the City the movie at long last! Loved it!

I got to Sydney International Airport and decided to put my navigational skills to test by getting the train to the hostel. I quickly discovered that I didn't know where the hostel was. The confirmation I printed off didn't have the address on, doh! Thankfully, mummy saved the day and looked it up for me. My next lesson was finding out that Sydney is much, much larger than London. Feeling smug about finding the correct street, I was incredibly put out when I had started at building no.1 and needed to make my way to no.509!

I have so far managed to stave off the jetlag and stayed awake but it shows! I have spent the day walking around the City centre and even trekked to Bondi beach.

Am not liking Sydney very much. It's too much like the commercial hustle and bustle that I have run away from! But it is only my first day.
