Yet another trip to the Blue Mountains as part of the Ozintro tour thingy. We had to start the day at 7am godammit and were rudely awaken at 4am by a bunch of naked essex boys running down the hostel corridoor shouting 'you what' at the top of their lungs before raiding the kitchen and stealing everyone's food! Luckily the only thing of mine stolen was peanut butter, which is bizarre because I've yet to meet anyone back home who actually likes the stuff.
Right back to it...
The trip included a stop off to observe some wildlife i.e. kangaroo's and a spider, then a couple of hikes through the blue mountains and waterfalls and finished with the very steep and scenic train back up the mountains.
For the duration of our two hour journey there, we listened to Danni's MP3 player and took a trip down memory lane as the songs ranged from Stereophonics to Pj and Duncan and So Solid Crew much to the displeasure of our crazy driver and tour guide extraordinaire Scooter.
Scooter walked and talked us through the hikes as well as letting us put war paint on our faces using ochre (sp?) made from sandstone, animal blood and general debris, and water. We used stepping stones to get across waterfalls, managed to find a spider and a lobster, marvelled at the Witches Leap waterfall, also named Donky Kong because it uncannilly resembles it and learnt about the various different types of Kangaroo - there are several, including the red ones in the outback that can grow to 8 feet tall!!!
Well that's me for now. Have uploaded photos onto facebook at last and am now heading to the beach to catch some more rays. Missing everyone, wish you were all here!
P.s - You've lost the game! Mwah ha ha!
P.p.s - if you don't know what 'the game' is, I will explain more later.
