Well after 5500 km of driving, tomorrow morning we ditch our van and head out on our own. The van will stay with Mike and Anne Hansen in Lethbridge and we will pick it up when we fly into Calgary next summer.

We've had such an awesome visit with these guys. The kids all got along famously and have started what should be lifelong friendships. Mike and Anne were incredible hosts in every way. Tomorrow morning all their four fabulous kids start school. It is very weird knowing all our friends in YK are doing the same things they are tonight . .. filling out forms, packing lunches and organizing activities. Us, we're repacking for the last time being careful not to leave anything in the van that we need and not to take anything in our packs that we don't.

Tomorrow we head out in a rental car for Drumheller and Dinosaur provincial park. Then off to Edmonton for the midnight train east. The train should give us a chance to catch up on school work which we did none of during this visit.

Got a wee bit homesick today face timing with Judy and Johnny who are in Newfoundland but returning to YK soon. We understand its been cool and foggy there which sounds kinda nice given the plus 30 temps here.

Farewell to a major milestone of the trip and here's to the next stage. Almost one month since we left. Wow! Fast.
