We start early leaving from the quaint family lodge to start our continuous decent to tatopani. Walking through small villages and then mainly along the roadside, we followed the river most of the way. Luckily the rainfall the night before stopped the mass of dust. We passed through ghasa where we were originally due to stay if all had run to plan originally, and then carried on down the winding roads, stopping for lunch beside the deep gorge and a plummeting waterfall. After a very disappointing egg fried rice, we continue along the road high above the deep gorge. Along the way we pass a spot where a jeep had fallen down the cliff inky recently, it hit home how dangerous the roads around the mountains are to drive. We continue on down hoping that our 20km trek was son coming to an end, and after many twists and turns we arrive at the hot springs famed tatopani. After throwing our things down in the room we head down to the hot springs which sit alongside the violent kalegandki river. The heat was a bit too much to bear so after half an hour and vet wrinkly fingers we jump out and head back for our pizza and crumble dinner. Bliss.
