Ivan Burger
I wanted to go to a fish restaurant recommended by the hotel for their Paraguayan fish dishes but after wandering the streets of Encarnacion I realized they were closed so I ended of at Evans burgers to try Lomitos Arabea, Paraguays take on the Doner kebab. A Lomito is similar in build to a hamburger but rather than ground beef the sandwich is full of grill chunks of tenderloin. The Arabea swaps the bun for flat bread. Oddly the only two restaurants listed on Google maps were Ivan Burger and Hiroshima.

It is a family run affair. Mom behind the register, daughter running service and son in the kitchen. Realizing there was a tourist dining, the son sweaty from the grill came out to enquire on if I enjoyed their food. We talked of my travel plans. I told them I was going to ciudad del este. His reply, "Peligroso. Dangerous." I feel like I am headed to Mos Eisly.
