Arrived today from Chicago. Flight left late, but arrived early due to unusually light trade winds. Checked in and got upgraded at the Waikiki Beach Marriot Resort & Spa. Walked the beachfront for a couple hours and enjoyed the idyllic weather. Saturday afternoon was busy at the beach. Dinner at Tiki Restaurant a block from the Marriot. Excellent swordfish and butterfish. We both tried the "1944 Mai Tai". Together with the 5 hour time shift, those drinks made it certain we were not staying out late.
