Day 45 11th jan
I'm awake in the early hours.... And spend a good proportion of the night sat on the loo..... Yesterday was a hot day too and I've sunburnt my noise... I look like a lobster that's sat on its thrown....
More care will be taken in the sun from now one.... In particular when we are on the bike.....
We wake up and I'm still feeling dodgy so after watching Shiree eat her breakfast we wonder to the beach for an easy day..... The beach is about three miles long, all sand and gently curves.... There are palm trees that line the sand and beach road and plenty of cafes along its length... The water is reasonably flat with exception of the closest 50 foot where out of know here huge waves swell up and break with huge energy onto the sharply sloping beach.... The beach slopes so sharply that the water from the man dwarfing waves has lost all it's forward momentum and is receding back into the sea 30 foot after it has broken.... Its impressive to sit so close to such large waves and not get wet.....
Shiree spots a group of people standing around some locals further up the beach.... There selling freshly caught sea food and have a little portable BBQ to cook it on... The whole lobster ( live ) is less than £8 on a plate, but she goes for four large prawns.... When they turn up they sure do look impressive... And they certainly are large...
I'd desided I wanted get the oil changed on the bike today, but had not felt up to going to far away from the hotel so we'll have to try tomorrow.....
Nha Trang is a common location for Russians to holiday and it becomes clear on the beach that they either look completely perfect or like beached whales.... Some really are huge......mainly the men with massive bellies...
