Three countries in one day, that's a bit nuts even for me.
I started my day in Venice with breakfast at the hotel and then as usual herded 46 people onto a big red bus. I then settled in for the long drive to Germany through the Italian Alps and past the Dolomites.
We stopped for a break in the national park and the mountains were some of the most spectacular I've ever seen. The Dolomites seemed to rise from no where and I was standing on the edge of the lake, seeing the giant formations reflected back on themselves. I had a lovely wheat beer in the café and sat in the sun.
We then passed through Austria and stopped in a truck stop near Innesbruk, where I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.
We finally crossed into Germany and arrived in Munich at about 5pm. I got everyone checked in really quickly and then walked them down to Marianplatz. I left them in the square and set a meeting point at the Church of our Lady so that I could then walk to dinner at the Augustiner beer hall. I had a bit of a walk around, but almost everything was covered in scaffolding, which was a bit disappointing.
Dinner was awesome, Pork sausages. I love German food. I sat in the for a bit after dinner and chatted to people before heading back for an early night. I was going to stay up and do some writing, but I sat down on the bed and immediately fell asleep!

Mum Oh no, not more scaffolding. I loved the Dolomites too, they are spectacular. This is where "The Italian Job" with Michael Caine was filmed at the beginning. Love going through all the mountain tunnels too.
