I woke up to find that the snow had continued all night and was now about a foot deep on top of everything. Bushes, cars, trucks, the footpath all covered in white powder.
This morning I redid the walking tour for some of the passengers who didn't make it out yesterday. Sara came along to evaluate my performance. I didn't think I did that badly, I didn't get lost which was a good start, considering I'd only done the route once, but there was definitely room for improvement.
I then went back to the hotel, to change my shoes as my boots were letting in water and my feet were freezing. I changed my shoes and socks and went back out again to do another lap of the town. It was so much prettier all covered in white. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral looked spectacular with snow on its black domes and the view point was unreal. It looked like a picture you get on a Christmas card! I came down Toompea hill via the oldest building in Tallinn, which has medieval tombstones on the wall and is currently being used to house a modern art exhibition. It was free to go in so I had a bit of a look. The exhibition had a strange home wares kind of theme, I liked the installation they had with colourful candles. It looked good against the backdrop of the old building.
I did a bit of exploring on my own and I had lunch in McDonalds….again. Its always cheap and you always know what your going to get. I'm kidding myself if I say I'm one of these people who likes to sample the local cuisine, because about seven times out of ten I'm certainly not that person.
After lunch I walked around for what seemed like ages trying to find a copy place that was open so I could print out my trip notes, but it was no use. It was Saturday and Easter Saturday at that, so nothing of a practical nature was open. I went back to the hotel and spent the rest of the afternoon working on my notes and doing paperwork. My last act before going to bed was to open the window and grab a handful of the pure snow from the window ledge and shove it in my mouth. I'd always wanted to do that.

Mum Sounds really pretty Kris. You must keep your feet warm and dry and you won't feel the cold too much.
