Hello all. Having heaps of fun over here in Bali. I wrote a really long email just before that took me forever to write, but i lost it cos the internet place we were using sucked so here is a very very VERY shortened version for now... once we find a nice cheap broadband place we'll be cheering. Basically what we have done... * Arrived just after lunch here yesterday. Very hot, really strange for me, but harry seemed very at home. * We were picked up by our tour man named 'Diddy'. Cool guy. We got into the van & i was searching desperately for a seatbelt but there wasn't one, the guy was looking at me funny thinking 'what the hell is that girl doing', there wasn't one so i just held on. We asked what side of the road they drive on, we couldn't get a straight answer out of them. as we approached an intersection, i said to Harry 's***, that guy didn't give way to his right'...'oh s*** neither did he'...so as we got closer to the intersection harry & i just looked at eachother, i tightened my grip & closed my eyes...but we came out alive, as you can see. * Met some really cool guys from one of the street stalls yesterday afternoon. Everyone is named Harry Potter over here so you'll never forget anyone's name! We are going to have a beer at their stall with them later on this arvo. * Harry offered to sell me to some guy who thought he was being serious...guess you had to be here for that one. * Met a toothless lady named linda, she made me promise to go back there today so that she can 'make me pretty', she is doing some tacky looking art on my nails. it's times like these that i wish i was still biting them! i hate bright nail polish & i have no idea where to find any polish remover so we'll have to see about that. * Saw some guy step in the seediest pile of dog poo we have ever sighted...guess you had to be here for that one too! the dogs are all on the streets and constantly scratching themselves in all the right places...nice huh? * We are going white water rafting tomorrow with Diddy (tour guide), update you after that. We have our phones on & can't answer or make a call but message us if anyone wants to, we will email back cos our phones will cost too much to return any messages on.
