G’Day mate!
After our amazing time on Fraser Island, the next stop on our trip was Noosa. We were lucky to find ourselves a wicked apartment for the duration of our stay. The apartment was really spacious for us and we soon made it our own with stacks of clothes all over the place. Our apartment was located at the very top of two big hills, sorry more like mountains. Unfortunately for us the beach, Hastings street and the supermarket were located at the very bottom of these mountains.
The first 2 weeks we spent most of our time relaxing and soaking up the sun on Noosa’s main beach. When we were able to drag ourselves away from the beach we strolled up and down Hastings street looking at clothes we couldn’t afford but really wanted. April 29th it was Rhiannon’s birthday, so we decided to celebrate it in true aussie style. we spent the day at the beach enjoying the sunshine and in the evening headed for food at Noosa surf club that overlooked the beach.
The remaining two weeks were spent much the same as the first two weeks, but by now Phil had bought a surfboard and spent his whole time surfing whilst Rhi just soaked up the sun on the beach. Although we weren’t always lazy, Noosa is famous for its wonderful national park. The walk through the national park was really nice and the scenery was so beautiful, we ended up at Alexandra Bay. Alexandra Bay is known a nudist beach, sadly for Rhiannon, the sun wasn’t shining so the beach was empty and all she had to look at was Phil with clothes on!!!! On the way back to the beach we were stopped in our tracks for a few minutes, a snake decided to stop in the middle of the path. The snake seemed quite content staying put, we tempted fate and managed to tip toe our way past.
One thing we always wanted to do in Australia was to visit Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. And it did not disappoint. We had a great day at Zoo, one of the highlights was the live croc show at the crocoseum CRIKEY!! We got to feed elephants and got up close but not too personal with all other types of animals. We loved our day at the zoo and it was so cool to see what the legend Steve Irwin has created, such a special place.
We spent our last few days in Noosa around Hastings Street, main beach and enjoyed our final meal in Noosa surf club. We absolutely love Noosa and were pretty sad to leave.
